Debate Mate
We are delighted to partner with Debate Mate, a pioneering charity and social business who share our purpose. Debate Mate teach young people from disadvantaged backgrounds how to debate, equipping them with crucial life skills including confidence, leadership, communication and empathy. Together with Debate Mate we have designed a bespoke “Boardroom to Classroom” program that combines negotiation with debate. We have delivered the program to schools in London and New York.
Urban Dove
The US schools that we have taken our program to are called Urban Dove. They take in students who haven't completed high school and so need specialist support. A cross-functional team from The Gap Partnership went to both of their sites in New York - one in Brooklyn, and one in the Bronx - to take the students on a journey of negotiation.

Their week culminated in the students visiting our offices to take part in a live debate, and a careers "carousel", in which they found out about some of the roles on offer at The Gap Partnership.
